Curriculum Vitae


Born in 1956. CHANG Zhenming holds a Master in Business Administration from the Insurance College in New York.


During his career at CITIC Group, CHANG Zhenming held the positions of Executive Director and Vice President. In addition, he was Executive Director of CITIC Pacific Limited and Non-Executive Director of Plus Holdings Limited. From 2001 to 2004, he acted as Director and Chief Executive Officer of CITIC Pacific Limited. In 2004, CHANG Zhenming was appointed Vice Chairman and President of the China Construction Bank by the government, as the stateowned bank was about to be restructured and meant to head towards an overseas public listing.


In July 2006, he rose to the position of Vice Chairman and President of CITIC Group. CITIC Group has built its name on investing Chinese funds outside its homeland. The state-owned conglomerate oversees the government’s international investments. Its 44 subsidiaries in China, Hong Kong, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand include financial institutions, industrial concerns as well as service companies. CITIC Group also operates representative offices in Tokyo, New York and Rotterdam.
