Curriculum Vitae


Born in 1950. Gilbert Probst earned his Doctorate and Venia Legendi at the University of St. Gallen.


After completing his studies, he became Vice Director and Research Manager at the Institute of Management of the University of St. Gallen as well as a lecturer in organisation and business administration. As a visiting faculty member Gilbert Probst has taught at the Wharton School of Business, at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and at the International Management Institute (IMI) in Geneva. Since 1987, he has been full professor for organisation and management as well as Director of the MBA programme at the University of Geneva.


In addition, Gilbert Probst acts as Managing Director and Dean of the Global Leadership Fellows Programme of the World Economic Forum.


He has published extensively in the research fields of organisation, thinking in networks, corporate development and knowledge management.
