Curriculum Vitae


Born in 1948. Wolfgang Reithofer studied Technical Mathematics at the Technical University of Vienna, Business Administration at the University of Social and Economic Science of Vienna and Law at the University of Vienna, where he received his Doctorate of Laws in 1972.


In 1973, Wolfgang Reithofer started his professional career as an Assistant to the Managing Board of the Union Baugesellschaft, Vienna, where he was responsible for human resources, the legal department and special projects in the commercial sector. In 1978, he was appointed Officer of the Union Baugesellschaft. From 1980 to 1981, Wolfgang Reithofer was Officer and Assistant to the Managing Board of the Österreichische Realitäten AG. He subsequently joined the Wienerberger Group, where he first worked as an Officer with the Wienerberger Baustoffindustrie AG. His responsibilities included human resources, the legal department, administration, controlling, finance/accounting and real estate. After becoming a member of the Managing Board in 1985, Wolfgang Reithofer was elected Vice Chairman of the Managing Board seven years later. In 2001, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Wienerberger AG.


Besides his engagements with Wienerberger AG, he is Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Immoeast Immobilien Anlagen AG and member of the Supervisory Board of the Wiener Börse AG.
