Curriculum Vitae


Born in 1959. Stephan Scholtissek obtained a Doctorate in biochemistry from the Technical University Hanover.


After his studies, Stephan Scholtissek devoted himself to fundamental research of experimental medicine at the Max-Planck-Institute. Subsequently, he worked in research and development at the medical technology company Dräger, before spending several years at the strategy consulting firms AT Kearney and Bain & Company. In 1997, Stephan Scholtissek joined Accenture as Head of the energy practice. He was appointed Country Managing Director of Accenture Germany in 2003. Since 2006, Stephan Scholtissek has also held the position of Geographic Unit Managing Director for Austria, Switzerland and Germany. In this capacity, he advises clients on innovation, building new business segments and performing large-scale transformations.


Moreover, Stephan Scholtissek is Chairman of the Accenture Foundation, where he is committed to promoting equal educational opportunities for students. In addition, he is a member of Initiativkreis Ruhrgebiet and serves as an active member on the main board of Bundesverband Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien (BITKOM).


Stephan Scholtissek has put forward his ideas on innovation, large-scale transformations and globalisation in numerous publications, including New Outsourcing in 2004 and the business novel Stromland in 2006.
