Curriculum Vitae
Born in 1965. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Bosphorous University, Arzuhan Yalçindag studied business administration at the American International University in London.
From 1990 to 1993, Arzuhan Yalçindag established and managed the Mail Order Company MILPA CO. together with the German Company Quelle. During the following two years, she worked for the Alternatif Bank, where she later became a board member. Between 1995 and 1996, Arzuhan Yalçindag served in the management of the Milliyet Magazine Group, where she was responsible for finance. She joined Kanal D TV Channel in 1996, where she worked with different units until 2005. In 1999, Arzuhan Yalçindag started the project of a news channel, a cooperation between CNN International and Dogan Yayin Holding, which led to the joint venture with Time Warner in establishing CNN TURK. Since 2005, she has been the President of Dogan TV Executive Committee and a member of the Board of Dogan Holding. Since 2007, she is a member of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) of the OECD as well as a member of the Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprise (UMCE) and the Union of Black Sea & Caspian Confederation of Enterprises (UBCCE). Currently, Arzuhan Yalçindag is President of the Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSIAD), which is a non-governmental representative organisation of the Turkish business community and a member of BUSINESSEUROPE.
In addition, Arzuhan Yalçindag is a founding member of Aydin Dogan Trust Foundation and is member of its board. She is also member of the Turkish-American Buisnessmen Council (TABA), the Education Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV), founding member of the Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGIDER) and member of the Turkish Third Sector Foundation (TUSEV). In 2005, she has been selected Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
