Curriculum Vitae
Born in 1963. After studying in China, Great Britain and the United States of America, ZHANG Jun received a doctorate in economics from Fudan University, in 1992, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Sussex and Washington State University.
Since 1997, he has held numerous visiting professorships at the London School of Economics, the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London, Harvard University, Yale University, University of Aarhus and Tokyo Metropolitan University. ZHANG Jun lectures on economics of transition in China, development economics, China’s economic reforms, emerging markets in China, property rights and institutional change. He also teaches for EMBA programmes at the China Europe International Business School and the School of Business at Shanghai Jiatong University. Currently, ZHANG Jun is Chang Jiang Professor of economics at Fudan University and serves as Director of the China Center for Economic Studies at Fudan University.
Since the 1990’s, ZHANG Jun has authored more than 20 books and published widely in Chinese and English journals, including the Journal of Asian Economics, the Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies, the East Asian Review, the China Economic Quarterly and the Economic Research Journal.
