Curriculum Vitae


Born in 1950. Kees van der Graaf studied mechanical engineering followed by business engineering at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.


Kees van der Graaf joined Unilever in 1976, where he started his international career with functional and general management roles. In 2004, he was named Global Foods Director as well as appointed to the Boards of Unilever NV and PLC. Since April 2005, he has held the position of President Europe, responsible for Unilever’s European operations.


Moreover, Kees van der Graaf is a board member of the Efficient Consumer Response (ECR). Besides his engagement as a non-executive director of the Algemene Nederlandse Wielrijdersbond (ANWB) in the Netherlands and Synergos in the USA, he holds a number of other external positions. He is also a member of the Liaison Committee of the Confederation of Foods and Drinks Industries of Europe (CIAA).
