Each year, 100 Leaders of Tomorrow are invited from a rich and global pool of students and young talent. These talented individuals conform to the overall idea of the St. Gallen Symposium, namely they have the capacity to contribute sophisticated ideas and thoughts to dialogue on current global issues. They have proven their skills on an academic level and ideally have already gained work experience.
The members of the Knowledge Pool are chosen by the St. Gallen Symposium on the basis of their outstanding background which is related to each year’s particular symposium topic. This enables them to engage in critical dialogue with today’s leaders from business, academia, politics and civil society. The pool of talent is constantly enlarged on the basis of referrals generated by the St. Gallen Symposium’s worldwide academic and business network. Invitations to the members of the Knowledge Pool to take part in the symposium as Leaders of Tomorrow are extended by the St. Gallen Symposium exclusively. The Knowledge Pool Advisory Board supports the symposium in its global search for talent. The board is composed of the following distinguished members from the fields of business and academia:
