The 39th St. Gallen Symposium
University of St. Gallen, Switzerland
7–9 May 2009

Revival of Political and Economic Boundaries

St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award

The drive, wealth of ideas and diversity of the student participants brings a special vitality to the St. Gallen Symposium. 200 students selected from leading universities and representing more than 60 different countries contribute to the discussion and challenge the views and statements of the speakers and other participants of the symposium.

The student participants are selected through a demanding competition. The authors of the best 200 out of around 1,000 entries for the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award are invited to the symposium. To enable invited students from all over the world to participate, the ISC assumes most of their travel and accommodation costs, regardless of their economic situation.
