The 38th St. Gallen Symposium, planned and organised by the International Students' Committee (ISC), opens its doors on 15 May. This year's “3 Days in May” will once again bring together an international group of participants including several hundred decision-makers at the University of St. Gallen to address key issues concerning management and the interfaces between business, politics and society, under the heading "Global Capitalism – Local Values". Keynote speakers include Dr Josef Ackermann and CHANG Zhenming, who will discuss the current challenges facing the global financial markets; Y. C. Deveshwar and Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, who will give talks on the interrelationship between ethical values and capitalism; and Dr Dieter Zetsche and Dr Christoph Franz, who will highlight the importance of mobility in the global economy – to name but a few of the challenging topics in this year’s programme. Constructive discussion depends on critical dialogue between generations. 200 outstanding students representing 60 nations will contribute their forward-thinking ideas and perspectives to the St. Gallen Symposium. An attractive social programme offers the opportunity to continue discussions in an informal atmosphere. By offering a personal and professional service, the ISC is committed to ensuring the participants' stay in St. Gallen is an unforgettable experience.
