Symposium Site

Symposium Site of the 38th St. Gallen Symposium

From 2008–2010, the campus of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) is being redeveloped, redesigned and extended. As a result of the construction work, the auditorium, the main building and the forecourt cannot be used for university purposes. For the upcoming three years, the symposium layout has to be partially altered.

Nevertheless, due to the generous support of the HSG, the symposium 2008 can still take place on the university campus. The International Students’ Committee (ISC) is granted to use the Library Building (area 1) and in close proximity to it – for the first time since its enlargement – the entire Executive Campus (area 3).

The new symposium site is divided into the areas 1, 2 and 3 and will be realised in close cooperation with Blasto AG – Switzerland’s leading supplier of VIP tents. By constructing complementary facilities (area 2), the symposium site will be specifically shaped according to the programme structure and dialogue idea of the St. Gallen Symposium. The new main entrance to the symposium is located near the upper entrance to the Library Building (area 1).
